Smokies Pantry

Smokey's Pantry is closed for the summer and will reopen in August 2026. 

Smokey's Pantry is the first food pantry for students, faculty, staff, at the University of Tennessee and for surrounding community members. The pantry began as a project of a group of Tyson House Students in January 2016 and serves 60 - 80 families each week during the fall and spring semesters.

Volunteers are always needed. Interested UTK students should sign up on ServeUTK. Others should contact Tyson House directly.

The pantry recieves food each week from FISH Hospitatlity Pantries. However,  donations of travel size toiletries, femenine hygiene products, and other hygiene products are always needed. Please contact us if you or your orginization would like to collect items for the pantry!
